For example, if the subject matter is relevant to your profession, each day of course will qualify as CPD 6 hours/points. Please contact us if you are not sure.

  • Courses are delivered under the Chatham House Rule; that is, participants are free to share the information received during a course, but are not free to reveal the identity of who said it. Such a rule is necessary in order to avoid limiting learning opportunities by not constraining participants’ questions and discussion, nor preventing presenters in providing frank responses and observations. Recording of course sessions and participant discussion is therefore not permitted.

  • This is how it works - you prepay for a nominated total number of course days. You gain access to your own organisational registration portal to allocate your people to any of our courses during the year, up to your total number of purchased course days. You can add and replace team members as required throughout the year. You receive generous discounts for bulk placements.

These are the benefits - you can budget upfront with significant financial savings. You have control of your allocations in accordance with your training needs. You have the flexibility to substitute attendees on courses or move them to later courses as your training needs and people change throughout the year. This is flexibility at its best!

  • A Registered Training Organisation (RTO) is an education or training provider that is registered with the Australian Skills Quality Authority (ASQA) (or with a state-based regulator in Victoria or Western Australia). Registration authorises the organisation to deliver nationally recognised training under the Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF) and to issue nationally recognised qualifications and statements of attainment—for example, Certificates I–IV, Diplomas, and Advanced Diplomas.

‍ Higher-education qualifications such as Graduate Certificate, Graduate Diploma, Master, and Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degrees must be awarded under the auspices of a university or another institution accredited as a higher-education provider.

Those nationally recognised qualifications that can be delivered by RTOs in Australia are listed on the training.gov.au website in the National Register of Vocational Education and Training (VET).

Many people assume that if an organisation is registered as an RTO, that registration guarantees the quality of all its courses and presenters. While RTO registration does confirm that the organisation meets national standards for training and assessment, this assurance applies only to the specific qualifications and units of competency listed within its scope of registration on the National Register of Vocational Education and Training.

Any courses offered by the organisation outside that approved scope—such as professional-development or non-accredited programs—are not covered by RTO registration and are not subject to ASQA’s quality assurance processes.

edVirtus courses are professional education courses. Their content does not fall within the scope of training recognised under the AQF (for example, Certificate III, Certificate IV, or Diploma qualifications), nor does the AQF define competencies corresponding to our course content. Accordingly, edVirtus is not an RTO.

Moreover, even if we were an RTO, this would not confer additional standing on our courses, because the AQF does not include competencies aligned with their subject matter.

If you are seeking a registered training organisation, start by identifying the competencies or qualification you wish to attain (such as a Certificate III, Certificate IV, or Diploma). Then consult the National Register of VET on training.gov.au to locate that qualification and identify the RTOs authorised to deliver it (as not all RTOs are registered for every qualification).
